KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas had the second-highest jump in the number of drunken-driving fatalities in the nation in 2010, a year in which overall alcohol-related fatalities fell, according to federal data.

Robert L. "Bob" Smith, 79, of Leawood, KS passed away December 22, 2011. Born September 24, 1932, he was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City Area, except for his early childhood and early teen years in Southern California. After the death of his parents, he left California and came to Kansas City to live with his sister.
