OLATHE, Kan. -- With more than three months left in 2010, Johnson County has already surpassed its record number of homicides. Prosecutors say there have been 13 homicides in Johnson County so far this year. That compares with 10 last year and 11 in 1999, the previous record.

DOVER, Del. | IndyCar racing star Danica Patrick expressed disappointment Friday that Kansas Speedway will not be on the IndyCar Series schedule in 2011 for the first time since the track opened in 2001. Three other tracks owned by International Speedway Corp. — Chicagoland, Homestead and the Watkins Glen road course — were dropped by the Indy Racing League.
